A Druggie and a Whore, 2014
                                                           – Steven Anggrek

Here sit I on the street side
To remove the lifelessness
Hope the wind will be my guide
Move me to my happiness

Nothing lures like a charming smile
I take his hand as he leads
We are happy for awhile
Till he plays me for his needs

Brash man whispers “I want you”
I can’t say “no, this is wrong”
He says “come let me touch you”
It hurts but I play along

He wants me honest and raw
But carelessness is a bad plan
As he deserts me after a paw
Promise myself to find a new land

Here sit I on the street side
To remove the lifelessness
Hope the wind will be my guide
Move me to my happiness

Two hands hold me from behind
And a kiss lands on my cheek
I hear they say love is blind
They don’t say it makes you weak

I give her my love and life
She takes my notes before I leave
I lost my future wife
Even love you shall not believe

He’s a druggie and she’s a whore
I am an animal that’s stray
As lips cheer none anymore
Must be the end of the play
